An off-white surface has been a favourite of Isobel’s for many years, with its less stark, softer qualities, which are then contrasted with bold, dark line. Each work is comprised of delicate yet sporadic mark making in black ink on off-white paper. Taken directly from Isobel’s sketchbook, many of these drawings have been vital in creating compositional ideas and concepts for her larger and painted works throughout the years and to new ideas beyond
